Kitch Attorneys &amp; Counselors is a defense-oriented firm. We are looking for a specialized Litigation Legal Secretaries who have more than 2 years of experience to undertake a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. The perfect candidate will work under the supervision of attorneys and will also provide support in assigned legal cases. The goal is to sustain efficiency of all office procedures and case management so as to guarantee reliability and consistency.
 
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provide administrative support to one or more attorneys</li>
<li>Effectively communicate with witnesses, clients, colleagues and partners</li>
<li>Write case briefs and synopses of depositions, contracts and testimony</li>
<li>Conduct thorough statistical/documentary research</li>
<li>Source and verify important case intelligence</li>
<li>Produce and file various legal documents such as appeals, motions or petitions</li>
<li>Preserve an updated case record system</li>
<li>Answer phone calls, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate</li>
<li>Maintain and update inventories of contact details</li>
<li>Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders</li>

Skills

<li>Proven experience as legal secretary (minimum 2 experience preferred)</li>
<li>Knowledge of legal terminology, regulations and court system</li>
<li>Knowledge of MS Office and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, dictation, document management system)</li>
<li>Shows expertise with redacting claim files</li>
<li>Possesses superb at typing skills in order to work on dictation efficiently</li>
<li>Working knowledge of litigation management software systems is a plus</li>
<li>Proficiency in English</li>
<li>Skilled at ordering medical records</li>
<li>Proficient with maintaining a Calendar Task List</li>
<li>Qualified at scheduling depositions</li>
<li>Strong proofreading, grammar, and writing skills</li>

THE POSITION:
We have an exciting opportunity at our Methuen Animal Care and Adoption Center for an Animal Welfare Specialist. Animal Welfare Specialists (AWS) are at the forefront of the MSPCA' smission, working directly with people and their pets to effect positive change in our community. Some job responsibilities include:

<li>Working hands-on with several species of animals, including companion, equine and farm animals, feeding, cleaning and disinfecting animal living spaces, providing enrichment activities, exercising, medication administration, etc.</li>
<li>Facilitating adoptions by matchmaking animals with prospective adopters using a conversation-based approach with a goal of identifying the best possible outcome for the person and the animal.</li>
<li>Assisting in the surrender of an animal in an empathetic and compassionate manner that is free from judgment.</li>

The MSPCA at Nevins Farm, in Methuen, Massachusetts, is a unique 55-acre animal care complex that provides shelter and adoption services for both farm and companion animals as well as a low cost community clinic and community outreach.
