Job DescriptionParalegal - Litigation Support

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Glendale)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:30 AM-5:00 PM, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM, or 9:30 AM-6:00 PM; flexible)
Hybrid: Primarily in-office; after 90-day probation, option to work from home 1 day per week

Salary Range:

$68,000 - $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Bilingual English/Spanish candidates may earn up to $94,000.

Position Overview:

This role supports attorneys dedicated to labor movement and social change. You will perform traditional paralegal and legal assistant duties while managing complex litigation tasks. Responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and editing legal documents
  • Coordinating document production and maintaining case files
  • Processing electronic filings for state and federal courts, NLRB, PERB, and other agencies
  • Scheduling depositions and court reporters
  • Preparing attorney expense reimbursements
  • Performing document redlining (Workshare) and Bates stamping
  • Maintaining monthly/quarterly reports in Excel
  • Managing attorney billing entries (Juris)
  • Organizing documents in iManage
  • Coordinating travel arrangements
  • Maintaining attorney accounts and MCLE compliance
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations
  • Scheduling meetings and conference calls
  • Conducting legal research
  • Tracking and calendaring deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Education: ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate (required)
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in litigation support (legal assistant or paralegal)
  • Technical Skills:
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel: pivot tables, formulas, data visualization)
    • PDF programs and macros
    • Legal billing systems and document management tools
    • Westlaw and Lexis preferred
  • Additional:
    • Ability to e-file in California state and federal courts
    • Knowledge of bankruptcy courts, PERB, and NLRB helpful
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
    • Excellent communication and client interaction skills
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
