POSTION SUMMARY
Manages and oversees full-cycle non-destructive testing (“NDT”) quality assurance operations, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards and customer requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Manage the NDT inspection process, technicians (Level I and II) and any subcontracted processes.</li>
<li>Develop, maintain and enforce written practice for NDT qualification and certification (SND-TC-1A, NAS-410, as applicable) tailored to the exotic metal/high-performance alloy environment.</li>
<li>Approve, oversee and update NDT methods and procedures (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET, etc.) for components ranging from small medical tubing to large structural aerospace and nuclear parts.</li>
<li>Ensure NDT equipment is calibrated, maintained, qualified and tracked (i.e. ultra sonic flaw detectors, penetrant and mag particle equipment, radiography, etc.).</li>
<li>Ensure all NDT inspections meet internal quality management system requirements (i.e. ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP as relevant), customer specifications and industry standards (ASME, ASTM, API, etc.)</li>
<li>Validate and approve inspection results, generate and maintain final NDT reports, traceability records, audit trails and certification logs.</li>
<li>Maintain complete, accurate and organized NDT records, certifications, calibration logs, training records and audit trails.</li>
<li>Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, technical documents related to exotic metals and assemblies (in line with Veridiam’s markets: aerospace/space, nuclear, medical.)</li>
<li>Lead investigations of NDT non-conformances, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions and ensure systemic improvements.</li>

Position and Company Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality standards and processes to ensure products and services meet or exceed customer expectations. This role ensures that all fiber operating plants produce products that meet required standards, driving a culture of continuous improvement and consistency across sites. The Quality Manager develops and implements key elements of the Quality Management System (QMS), coordinates quality processes from raw materials through finished goods, and partners with plants to reduce defects and minimize customer complaints.
Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS) and Policy
<ul>
<li>Define and establish quality standards, policies, specifications, and procedures that align with customer and industry requirements.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Lead the implementation and maintenance of the QMS across all departments to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, RHP).</li>
<li>Maintain all quality-related documentation, including procedures, reports, and records of changes.</li>
</ul>
Quality Control and Assurance
<ul>
<li>Oversee inspections and testing of raw materials and finished products to verify conformity to standards.</li>
<li>Analyze quality data (e.g., defect rates, waste, customer feedback) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.</li>
<li>Conduct internal and external audits, investigate root causes of quality issues, and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).</li>
<li>Manage supplier quality and ensure retention and proper management of quality samples.</li>
</ul>
Continuous Improvement
<ul>
<li>Use Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies to drive process improvements and reduce waste.</li>
<li>Act as the voice of the customer by resolving complaints and leveraging feedback to enhance product quality.</li>
<li>Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality awareness, and accountability across all sites.</li>
</ul>
Leadership and Communication
<ul>
<li>Recruit, train, and lead the quality assurance and control teams, ensuring staff are equipped with the skills and tools to meet quality goals.</li>
<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Product Development to integrate quality into all stages of the product lifecycle.</li>
<li>Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior leadership, linking metrics to business and financial objectives.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong relationship-building and influencing ability.</li>
<li>Skilled in multitasking, prioritization, and conflict resolution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; proficient in root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams).</li>
<li>High attention to detail, risk management mindset, and adaptability in dynamic environments.</li>
<li>Strong PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office; self-motivated and detail oriented.</li>
<li>Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to other plants. </li>

Education and Experience
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a Quality-related field.</li>
<li>3–5 years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in people leadership.</li>
<li>Experience implementing and managing a QMS in a manufacturing setting (ISO certification experience preferred).</li>
<li>Proven success leading quality improvement initiatives across one or more sites.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.</li>
</ul>
