The Citizenship Coach will help recruit clients through referrals from other Wesley program areas and through relationships with community partners. The Coach will work closely with the other member of the Adult Literacy team and the Community Service team and will join a variety of team meetings and staff task forces designed to connect staff members, improve the quality of Wesley services and integrate services for the benefit of clients.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. 
A school district in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a dedicated full-time Special Education Teacher for middle school students, grades 5-8, for the upcoming school year. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work onsite in a supportive educational environment from July 28, 2025.
Key Qualifications:

<li>Must hold a valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) certification</li>
<li>Prior experience teaching middle school students</li>
<li>Availability to work onsite throughout the contract duration</li>
<li>Ability to collaborate with school staff and leaders regarding caseload management during interviews</li>

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Deliver personalized and effective instructional support to students with special education needs in grades 5-8</li>
<li>Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet individual student IEP goals</li>
<li>Communicate regularly with parents, school personnel, and related service providers to monitor student progress</li>
<li>Attend meetings and professional development sessions as required</li>
<li>Manage caseload in coordination with school leaders to ensure balanced student support</li>
