We are looking for a histology tech to fill this position. This team member will display strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills to ensure an effective lab environment. Team member will maintain a competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs and internal laboratory systems.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Grossing specimen</li>
<li>Accessioning specimen</li>
<li>Embedding &amp; microtomy</li>

<li>Demonstrate knowledge of quality safety and compliance programs.</li>
<li>Trouble shoot laboratory challenges: processor issues, stain optimization, microtome adjustments, coverslipper maintenance.</li>

Skills:

<li>Possess a wide range of knowledge of histology laboratory techniques.</li>
<li>Detail-oriented with the ability to file slides or cassettes appropriately.</li>

Additional Requirements:

Education:
*Must have a Florida clinical laboratory personnel license.
Clinical education in a Histology Technician School (HT) program accredited by NAACLS.
High Complexity qualifications: An earned associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology, obtained from an accredited institution OR education/training to the above that includes at least 60 semester hours. This education must include 24 semester hours of science courses that includes 6 semester hours of chemistry, 6 hours of biology, and 12 hours of chemistry, biology or medical laboratory technology in any combination.
Experience:
1 year experience in a histology laboratory performing embedding and microtomy.
Licensure:
FL state clinical laboratory personnel license, HT(ASCP), HTL(ASCP).
