The Position:
This role supports areas of field Service operation within Sungrow USA related to commissioning, warranty, and Operations and Maintenance (O&amp;M) of the expanding installed sites in the region. Reporting to the regional field service supervisor, this position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and commissioning support of PV inverters and ancillary equipment/ systems, usually at the customer’s site or at a staging yard/warehouse. Ensures that personnel and safety issues are given priority to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Implements and enforces safety management policy and procedures regarding the facility: safety information, hazard analysis, safe operations/Maintenance Training, subcontractor compliance, plant integrity, work permits, emergency planning, and response. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Perform a variety of technical assignments involving the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of string and central solar inverter and/or BESS Systems, PCS, batteries, and ancillary equipment.</li>
<li>Perform general troubleshooting and diagnosis under Sungrow’s maintenance and repair guidelines. </li>
<li>As needed, support and perform pre-commissioning (with and without grid emulator) and commissioning of solar inverters and BESS systems within schedule and work plans </li>

<li>Design and analyze axial turbine components to meet aerodynamic and durability criteria. Analyze new designs and modifications to existing designs for improved power output, aerodynamic efficiency, durability, and other relevant criteria. </li>
<li>Perform throughflow and mean-line analysis of gas turbine compressors and turbines to provide input for cycle output, efficiency, etc. </li>
<li>Incorporate secondary air flow and components cooling flows into 3D CFD analysis for final design verification. Utilize appropriate design/analysis tools, such as flow circuit programs, FEM and CFD models.</li>
<li>Interface with other technical disciplines such as performance, secondary flow, aerothermal, and structural engineering to develop designs that meet all applicable criteria.</li>

<li>Participate in internal discipline related meetings and training sessions, as well as external technical conferences and customer events.</li>

Key Responsibilities · Support project execution for two active EPC gas compressor station projects from engineering through construction. · Review, interpret, and track design drawings, specifications, and technical documents. · Coordinate with engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, I&amp;E) to resolve design and field issues. · Interface with vendors, procurement staff, and subcontractors to ensure materials and equipment meet project requirements. · Assist with RFIs, submittal reviews, technical clarifications, and change management processes. · Monitor project schedules, deliverable milestones, and engineering progress. · Support construction teams with technical analysis, field validations, and redlines/as-built documentation. · Participate in site visits and walkdowns to verify installation and design alignment. · Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications (e.g., ASME, API, NFPA). · Contribute to risk assessments, quality reviews, and constructability evaluations. · Prepare and maintain engineering logs, reports, and project tracking tools. · Coordinate with project controls on cost, quantities, forecasting, and progress reporting. · Support commissioning, testing, and turnover documentation as needed. · Assist with the preparation of daily field reports. </li>

<li>Required Skills/Abilities · Experience with gas compressor stations, pipelines, or related infrastructure. · Familiarity with engineering workflows, construction processes, and technical document control. · Experience with compressor packages, piping systems, foundations, instrumentation, and balance of plant. · Knowledge of industry codes (API, ASME, NFPA) and client standards. · Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, or similar tools. · Strong technical analysis and problem-solving. · Ability to manage multiple workstreams across concurrent projects. · Excellent communication and coordination abilities with cross-functional teams. · Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation habits. · Comfortable working in field office locations on the jobsite.</li>

 Qualifications:

<li> Education And Experience · Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related Engineering field. · PE or EIT license preferred. · 7-10 years of experience supporting EPC or capital projects in the oil &amp; gas, midstream, or energy sector. · Regulated utility industry experience preferred. · Experience in the oil and gas or midstream industry, especially with compressor stations, pipelines, and high-pressure facilities. · Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, processes, and relevant industry standards. · Familiarity with software, such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project. · The ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and schematics.</li>

DESCRIPTION:
As a Wire EDM Field Service Technician, you will utilize customer communication skills, and the mechanical and electrical knowledge to repair, troubleshoot, modify and test complex technical problems on Mitsubishi Machining products. This is a 100% travel position, Monday through Friday. Travel is primarily throughout the US, but can be international in some cases as well. Our services are provided on-site at our customer’s facilities and via telephone if the situation permits. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Travel to customer locations to diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repair</li>

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing and frequent kneeling.
