ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Resident Coordinator works out of the Lighthouse Transitional Living Program in West Los Angeles. Lighthouse TLP is a housing first low-barrier, high tolerance program providing housing and comprehensive services to youth ages 18-24 who are experiencing housing instability. The Resident Coordinator is responsible for oversight and safety of the property and residents. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring and maintaining cleanliness of the site and living spaces, carrying out day-to-day safety protocols, responding and de-escalating crises, conflict management among residents, and promoting a holistic approach to the wellness of our residents. This position requires some driving and lifting. 
 
 
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
<ul>
<li>Daily site and overall property inspections to maintain curbside appeal and resident safety.</li>
<li>Maintain inventory and storage of program supplies, including food, program supplies, cleaning supplies, etc. </li>
<li>Assist with program intakes and exits, including preparing intake packets, documentation of requirements, and conducting exit service evaluations.</li>
<li>Coordinate and assist with food and meal support in the program, including ordering and receiving Food Pantry donations and picking up food as needed.</li>
<li>Report all issues concerning resident health, safety, maintenance or other areas of concern in a timely manner and complete required documentation. </li>
<li>Interact and build relationships with residents, demonstrating the ability to support resident success, solve problems and enforce house rules. </li>
<li>Facilitate and/or coordinate activities, events, and workshops for residents. </li>
<li>Provide resources and other information to support residents in accessing needed services. </li>
<li>Collaborate with community partners and volunteers to coordinate life skills workshops and programming to the site.</li>
<li>Assist in the preparation of required program reports.</li>
<li>Drive to transport residents to services and community activities.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization.</li>

Requirements:
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field is preferred. Related work or lived experience will be strongly considered in place of or in addition to a Bachelor’s degree.</li>
<li>1-2 years of experience providing direct services to high-risk transitional age youth (TAY).</li>
<li>1-2 years of experience accessing social services (homeless services, DCFS, probations, DPSS, etc.) is a plus.</li>
<li>Best practice models including: Housing First, Positive Youth Development, Authentic Youth Engagement, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care, Critical Time Intervention</li>
<li>A self-starter who is prepared to drive innovative solutions within the organization </li>

<li>An ability to work in a fast paced environment that requires effective collaboration with several staff members</li>

Summary/Objective
