JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to responsibilities of Direct Support Staff, the Lead Direct Support Staff shall have the following responsibilities:

<li>Completes all documentation and notes as required using the Therap system and other programs.</li>
<li>Ensures that goals are being completed according to each individual’s ISP.</li>
<li>Conducts evacuation drills and records results.</li>

<li>Reports to work promptly and on time and does not leave work until assigned shift ends or has approval from supervisor. Observes policies/procedures governing requests for annual, sick, or other leave time.</li>
<li>Completes Medication Administration and Proxy training. Administers meds to residents and follows all policies related to MAR entries. </li>
<li>Tracks vital signs and other health related information for residents. </li>
<li>All other duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs with or without accommodations. </li>

The Elms Assisted Living and Memory Care at The Briarwood Community is hiring a Director of Assisted Living Services to lead and support resident services, programming, and care coordination for our Assisted Living building which includes 43 apartments and Memory Care consisting of 12 apartments.. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the senior population; assisted living or memory care experience strongly preferred.

Strong sense of responsibility and moral integrity; compassion and patience are essential.
</li>

Knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease, related dementias, and behavior management techniques.
</li>
<li>
Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and support service teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office with demonstrated computer skills in writing, email communication, scheduling, and inventory management.

This role operates in a clerical office setting as well as in resident rooms and activity spaces and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems.
