DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Adheres to the mission of SERCO.</li>
<li>Shows interest and concern for all customers, treating them with respect and care.</li>
<li>Assists customers in navigating computer-based information sources such as America’s Job Bank, Work in Texas, and My Texas Careers</li>
<li>Assists customers with preparation of resumes and applications. </li>
<li>Explains to customer varieties of software programs available for their use. </li>
<li>Monitors computers and printers to insure they are in good working order. Performs limited troubleshooting of personal computers and submits request for in-depth maintenance when required. </li>
<li>Operates and monitors use of fax, copier and phone bank. </li>
<li>Obtains and maintains occupational and Labor market information. </li>
<li>Make career/job information available through computer and printed material. </li>
<li>Maintains information on self-assessment, career planning, occupations, employment opportunities, job market conditions, and other relevant trends. </li>
<li>Keeps an accurate usage record for Resource Room on a daily basis. Performs data entry for various reports. </li>
<li>Assists in maintaining inventory of available Resource Room materials. Responsible for the custody, care, and safekeeping of agency property and exercises control over expendable supplies.</li>
<li>Delivers Orientation(s) for job seekers outreached via Unemployment Insurance (UI) Profiling. </li>
<li>Conducts phone calls to job seekers appearing on UI and Dislocated Worker (DW) reports </li>
<li>Assists with Curbside services and Virtual Lab services, if avaialble </li>
<li>Manages VOS and Work in Texas System </li>
<li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li>
</ul>
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of and the ability to learn a variety of relevant computer software programs, computer and other office equipment, and the Internet. </li>
<li>Interact with customers in a positive and productive manner. Ability to organize work requirements. </li>
<li>Excellent communications/presentation and writing skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. </li>

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

<li>High school graduate or GED certificate. </li>
<li>Experience using a variety of computer software programs. </li>

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

<li>Must possess and provide a valid Texas Driver's License and Automobile Liability Insurance as required by the State of Texas. </li>
<li>Must have access to reliable transportation in order to travel within service area. </li>
