LOCATION
This role offers remote flexibility. The Manager will support a team of Development Engineers positioned across the Mid-Atlantic US. Up to 30% travel per month will be required, to participate in team meetings with direct reports and senior leadership. Regular travel to our Warrendale, PA office will also be required. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Manager, Development Engineering is responsible for hands-on leadership of the Development Engineering team supporting Infrastructure Renewal and Building Upgrade &amp; Improvement projects, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide management of the engineering function of accountability.
 
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
<ul>
<li>Provide management of the engineering function with respect to station needs and regulatory requirements</li>
<li>Manage the performance and development of assigned engineering personnel relative to site and corporate objectives and provide focus on the attainment of high-quality engineering results</li>
<li>Directly and through subordinates, fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations.</li>
<li>Participate in Business Planning, Budget, and Business Performance review regarding assigned staff. </li>
<li>Participate as senior resource to NGG-wide programs and initiatives regarding standardized and enhanced engineering systems and processes.</li>
<li>All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)</li>
</ul>
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or nuclear) OR related science OR License Professional Engineer OR Active/Inactive SRO License with 5 years of engineering or related experience, which shall include 1 year of nuclear power plant experience </li>
<li>Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"</li>
<li>Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties </li>
</ul>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

<li>Professional Engineer Registration</li>
<li>Advanced technical degree, Master of Business Administration (MBA)</li>

Primary Purpose of Position
Responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under direct supervision.
 
Primary Duties and Accountabilities

<li>Assure all engineering products prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision.</li>
<li>Support engineering work functions.</li>
<li>Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.</li>
