<li>Identify and repair structural components such as frames, cladding panels, valves, gaskets, and seals to ensure the container’s integrity.</li>
<li>Repair tank systems, including the piping, valves, and pressure relief devices on tank containers.</li>
<li>Ensure all repairs and maintenance work meet industry standards, including International Maritime Organization (IMO) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations as well as recognized industry guidelines (ITCO).</li>
<li>Perform pressure tests and leak check on containers carrying liquids or gases .</li>
<li>Document all inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed, ensuring accurate record keeping for regulatory compliance.</li>
<li>Maintain tools, equipment, and the workspace to promote efficiency and safety.</li>
<li>Work closely with operations and quality assurance teams to ensure the timely and safe repair of containers.</li>
<li>Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to container maintenance and safety.</li>
</ul>
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent;</li>
<li>Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in the container, transportation, or logistics industries.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights.</li>
<li>A valid driver’s license.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of how to rebuild valves, install cladding, use of a torque wrench.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of safety regulations, especially those governing hazardous materials and container transport.</li>
<li>Ability to use diagnostic tools and testing equipment effectively</li>
</ul>

<li>Able to work outside in variable weather conditions</li>
<li>Ability to follow spoken and written instruction</li>
<li>Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and procedures</li>
<li>Dependable transportation is required as well as the ability to work a flexible schedule if required (scheduled or unscheduled overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays)</li>
<li>Employment is contingent upon the ability to pass required Safety Council training examinations, and all pre-employment screenings i.e. drug screen</li>
</ul>

<li>Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently</li>
</ul>
Physical Demands
<ul>
<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. </li>
<li>May be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch as needed.</li>
<li>May be required to lift 50 lbs.</li>
</ul>
Work Environment
<ul>
<li>Based at an ISO container depot, with a combination of office work and hands-on supervision of the depot yard. Travel from depot to depot will be required.</li>
<li>May involve working outdoors in various weather conditions, around heavy machinery and equipment.</li>
<li>Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when in the yard or working near containers.</li>

Salary Range:
Disclaimer: The salary range for this position is $21.31 to $32.01. This range is based on market data and internal equity. The final offer will be determined by various factors, including the candidates experience, education, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
