Our client is seeking a Senior HVAC Service Technician to join a growing, customer-focused team. You'll service a wide range of commercial and industrial systems including hot water, DX, chillers, VRV/VRF, and low voltage controls across a diverse territory. This role offers autonomy, technical variety, and high-impact service work.

Location: Des Moines, IA (with coverage across eastern Iowa, western Illinois, Missouri to Minnesota)

Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities for new services and process improvements.
• Provide technical training and support to clients and junior technicians.
• Maintain accurate service records using company laptop and mobile systems.
• Conduct inspections, start-ups, commissioning, and preventative maintenance.
• Travel within assigned territory (Dubuque to Waterloo, Burlington, Grinnell, eastern IA, western IL, MO to MN)
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems: hot water, DX, chillers, cooling towers, fan systems, VFDs, and low voltage controls.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of HVAC experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid HVAC license and EPA Section 608 certification.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. and work in confined/elevated spaces.
• Expertise in hot water, DX systems, chillers, VRV/VRF, and low voltage controls.

Preferred:

• Daikin training.
• Technical certifications beyond high school.
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
• Experience with VFDs and industrial refrigeration.
• Experience in large-scale commercial or industrial facilities.
