SUMMARY:
The Residential Aide assist with client basic needs. Individual will work in conjunction with the social services team to monitor and provide appropriate basic services in a homeless shelter. Proof of COVIV-19 vaccinations required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul>
<li>Complete intakes for new clients and provide orientation to the facility and DHS rules and regulations.</li>
<li>Serve meals and snacks to clients during meal times</li>
<li>Perform regular area inspections to ensure that shelter rules are adhered too</li>
<li>Monitor sitting areas, laundry rooms and cafeteria to ensure all clients are adhering to shelter rules</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and organized storage area</li>
<li>Document and track locks for all lockers</li>
<li>Maintain lock log</li>
<li>Assist with intakes</li>
<li>Assist clients with securing property within assigned locker</li>
<li>Store and remove client property from the client storage/locker area as appropriate</li>
<li>Relocate items and furniture as necessary</li>
<li>Assist security team as needed</li>
<li>Cover operations desk when necessary</li>
<li>Maintain required documentation in case records in writing and computer database (CARES) and update client’s records in accordance with governmental and agency policy. </li>
<li>Collect and make copies of client identification and other documents necessary during initial intake. </li>
<li>Assist clients in daily living skills and assist with cleaning area, laundry, hygiene and etc.</li>
<li>Launder and fold all agency towels, wash cloths and shelter linens after clients have left the facility.</li>
<li>Follow laundry schedule to ensure that all used linens are washed and stored as appropriate. </li>
<li>Attend and participate in all required agency meetings: staff meetings, house meetings, in-service training and weekly/bi-weekly case review</li>
<li>Perform regular inspections of all client areas</li>
<li>Respond to incidents as appropriate</li>
<li>Answer phones when necessary</li>
<li>Assist with all house operations</li>
<li>Assist with maintenance duties as needed</li>
<li>Review logbooks at start of each shift to ensure that all new client intakes are completed within 24 hours as required.</li>

<li>Must be able to read, speak write and understand the English language</li>
<li>Must be able to full transfer assist residents</li>
