Job Description
We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machining equipment. The role involves preparing and operating CNC Lathes and Mills with minimal supervision, performing complex setups, changing tools, and conducting programming edits verified through inspection methods. You'll generate CNC programs using CAM programming software and possess a thorough knowledge of cutting feeds, speeds, and tool applications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate all CNC machining equipment.
- Prepare and operate CNC Lathes and CNC Mills under minimal supervision.
- Perform complex setups and tool changes, including inserts, drills, and mills.
- Conduct programming edits and verify changes through inspection methods.
- Generate CNC programs using CAM software with a strong understanding of cutting feeds, speeds, and tool composition.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in all production areas, adhering to the 5 S's principles.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machinery.
- Experience with CAM programming and CAD software.
- Knowledge of MasterCAM software.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Familiarity with G Codes and blueprint reading.
- Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measure.
- English literacy for reading and comprehending instructions and blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of experience for Level 2 CNC positions.
- 5 or more years of experience for Level 3 CNC positions.
- Experience writing CNC programs in a machining environment.
- Aerospace experience is preferred but not required.

Work Environment
The position is based in Phoenix, working inside a well-equipped facility. The weekend shift runs from Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM to 2 PM. The dress code is standard for a manufacturing environment, ensuring safety and comfort during operations.
