Berean Christian School is seeking a full-time Permanent Substitutefor the 2025-2026 school year.
Candidates must have a passion for serving God in the context of education.A relationship with Jesus Christ and viewing your teaching position as a ministry is essential. Berean Christian School is the largest ministry of Grace Fellowship, and as such, candidates must be a regular attending member in good standing at a church of like-faith. Job requirements: Permanent Substitutes will implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic and spiritual potential.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide instructional coverage for teachers in all grade levels (K512), including core subjects, electives, and Bible classes, as needed.
- Follow lesson plans left by the classroom teacher and adapt instruction as necessary while maintaining established learning objectives.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment rooted in Christian values and Biblical principles.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators.
- Supervise students in various settings including classrooms, lunchrooms, playgrounds, chapel, and during school events.
- Assist with grading or administrative tasks when not actively covering a class.
- Be available for short-notice assignments and maintain flexibility in scheduling and subject matter.
- Participate in school-wide events, devotions, meetings, and professional development as required.
- Uphold and model a personal commitment to Jesus Christ in character, speech, and conduct.
