Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting virtual inspections of manufactured products, ensuring quality assurance through detailed reviews of documents and photos uploaded by partners. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with various teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to manage inspection processes and support contract manufacturers. You will work in a dynamic environment, focusing on continuous improvement of quality control processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual quality control inspections by reviewing documents and photos in the Partner Portal and ERP.
- Follow written procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards for external customers.
- Collaborate with Case Management, Partner Support, and MRB to manage rework effectively.
- Ensure quick turnaround times for inspections and quality assurance processes.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with inspecting and documentation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, including assembly drawings.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and dimensional inspection reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with laptop use, blueprint reading, and the use of hand tools.
- Experience with micrometers, visual inspection, quality check, quality assurance, and quality control.

Work Environment
Work takes place in an ITAR facility requiring US citizenship or permanent residency. The schedule is from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Dress code includes jeans, shorts, plain shirts, and closed-toed shoes. The environment includes exposure to 3D printing technology.

This is a Contract position based out of Gaithersburg, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
