At rand*, the Field Engineer role focuses on learning basic construction skills related to general construction. These skills will range from basic trade tasks to assisting with oversight of field operations. Upon learning these skills, successful Field Engineers will have gained exposure to field operations – specifically how each trade interacts with the process of general contracting, safety protocols, site organization, project planning and subcontractor supervision. The successful candidate in this position will not only learn these skills but will excel in them.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in ensuring jobsite is clean and well maintained to rand* standards
- Ensure appropriate signage and posters are installed and maintained
- Assist with and maintain appropriate jobsite security
- Uphold rand*’s jobsite safety protocols
- Support on-site coordination including traffic management, site deliveries, and materials tracking
- Support, interface and deliver on tasks outlined by the project superintendent(s)
- Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors as directed by project superintendents
- Inspect and inventory project materials and equipment
- Observe and maintain rand* standards throughout the project
- Observe and learn basic practices behind site logistics and trades sequencing
- Inventory tools, equipment and materials as directed
Physical Job Demands & Working Conditions
This position is located in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas. Jobsites will be assigned as available and needed. This is a full time position. This position may require lifting of up to 50 pounds or less and may require the use of ladders.
