What You’ll Do:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned chemistry instruction that sparks curiosity and critical thinking
- Utilize diverse strategies and resources, including educational technology and curriculum tools
- Create learning environments that promote autonomy, collaboration, and student choice
- Design and analyze assessments to inform instruction and support interventions
- Implement Positive Behavior Support and Restorative Practices for a safe and nurturing classroom climate
- Communicate regularly with families to build partnerships that support student success
- Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and administrators to continuously improve teaching and learning
- Participate actively in professional development and school-wide initiatives
Qualifications:
- Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science (Chemistry or Physical Sciences) with English Learners Authorization
- Passion for equity, culturally responsive teaching, and student-centered learning
