What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned chemistry instruction that sparks curiosity and critical thinking
  • Utilize diverse strategies and resources, including educational technology and curriculum tools
  • Create learning environments that promote autonomy, collaboration, and student choice
  • Design and analyze assessments to inform instruction and support interventions
  • Implement Positive Behavior Support and Restorative Practices for a safe and nurturing classroom climate
  • Communicate regularly with families to build partnerships that support student success
  • Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and administrators to continuously improve teaching and learning
  • Participate actively in professional development and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science (Chemistry or Physical Sciences) with English Learners Authorization
  • Passion for equity, culturally responsive teaching, and student-centered learning
