Job Title: Senior Paralegal – Employment Class Action
Location: Los Angeles or Emeryville, CA

MUST LIVE IN THE LOS ANGELS OF EMERYVILLE CA AREA

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Paralegal to join our team in either our Los Angeles or Emeryville office. The ideal candidate has a strong background in employment law, particularly class and collective actions and wage and hour claims, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys in complex employment and class action litigation matters

  • Prepare, review, and file legal documents with a high degree of accuracy

  • Draft pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation documents

  • Assemble and file Table of Authorities (TOA) and Table of Contents (TOC) for briefs

  • Format briefs with proper line spacing, footers, citations, and headings using advanced Word skills

  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw or Lexis Nexis to locate and cite case law

  • Organize case files, manage deadlines, and maintain detailed case records

  • Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience specifically in class action/employment law (not total paralegal experience)

  • Expert-level proficiency in preparing TOAs, TOCs, and formatting legal briefs in Microsoft Word

  • Strong experience conducting case law research using Westlaw or Lexis Nexis

  • Solid experience with e-filing and document management in both state and federal courts

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with attorneys and team members

  • Trial preparation and in-court experience is a plus
