What You Will Do:
- Perform circuit card design lifecycle activities including requirements capture, schematic capture, design documentation, signal integrity analysis, creation of board stack up and routing instructions, coordination and review of printed wiring board layout, creation of test plans, root cause analysis, and integration.
- Design, document, verify, support, test and troubleshoot digital hardware for communication products using electrical engineering principles and techniques. Designs may include the use of FPGA, processors, and DDR memory components, and industry interfaces, such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Collaborate with a multi-discipline team of engineers to develop proven hardware designs that meet system performance and operational specifications.
- Help us deliver on the promise to provide quality next-generation hardware products to our customers that meet the needs of an ever-evolving environment. We have deadlines and dates that this role will directly impact, and you will be a big part of ensuring we meet our goals
What You Will Bring:
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- Foundational understanding of electrical circuit design concepts
- Basic knowledge of digital electronics (e.g. processors, FPGAs, CPLDs, and/or Microcontrollers, etc.), design principles and techniques
- Experience with schematic capture of electrical circuit designs. Includes familiarity with a schematic capture tool (examples may include Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Altium, Cadence Allegro, EAGLE, KiCAD, Multisim, etc.) for creation of circuit card designs.
- Experience with generating Printed Wiring Board (PWB) layout constraint guidelines and overseeing the routing, layout, fabrication, and assembly of the design.
- Familiarity with Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Test Equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, etc.
Pay Range: $60,000 - $90,000 a year
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:This position is classified as Remote within Puerto Rico.
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.
Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
