Position: Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Springfield, New Jersey
Salary: 95,000-135,000
Job Description:
- Experienced in geotechnical design and project management prefer with experience in the NY and NJ areas,
- Team player - responsive to clients - great work ethic - engineering experience with Geotechnical investigations
- SOE Design, underpinning design, earthquake geotechnical analysis, settlement analysis and slope stability analysis, soil improvement program design
- An Excellent Project Manager is very important.
Degree:
- MS in Geotechnical Engineering is a must
- Business Development is Key Client and contract Management Staff mentoring Project management, including management of budget, scope, and schedule QA/QC procedures
Skills and Abilities:
- Know all aspects of geotechnical engineering design, including residential and commercial site development
Additional Details:
- Know deep foundation, temporary shoring, retaining wall, and slope stability analysis and design
- Demonstrated knowledge of local and state building codes
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to think critically and solve problems
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented structure MS in geotechnical
- Engineering is a must 8 -10 years of Geotechnical Engineering Experience
- New York & New Jersey PE
- Salary will depend on experience
- Basic offered benefits: Salary paid on a bi-weekly basis.
- Bonus is based on employment history with the company and performance.
- Health insurance premium paid in full for the employee and 50% for the employee's family.
- HI is qualified after one month of employment.
- Safe Harbor 401K Program will provide 3% of an employee's total yearly compensation towards his 401K
- Qualified after 3 months of employment and is 100% vested on the day of qualification.
- The company may also provide 2% additional contribution depending on the profit year.
- All employees, whether they elect to contribute from their salary towards the 401K program or not, are required to enroll so the company can provide the 3% contribution.
- Employee can choose not to contribute anything.
- 3 weeks paid vacation/ year, which is earned on an accrual basis per pay period.
- Employee is allowed to save unused vacation time to be used the following year 1 week paid sick time/ year and is earned on an accrual basis per pay period $45/ month paid towards cell phone.
- No work from home policy. Employee is expected to work at the office.
- Exceptions can be made, but not the norm.
- Employee should expect to visit construction sites as necessary
