The Sewing Specialist will provide alterations, fittings and repairs for employees who require uniform apparel items.
Duties:
- Complete alterations and repairs to uniform apparel items.
- Assist with fittings for employees who require uniform apparel items.
- Maintain department records accurately and consistently.
- Inspects items for wear and defects, anticipate needed stock and supplies, and notify Supervisor of shortages.
- Assists in other areas of the Wardrobe department as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year sewing experience required.
- Experience with commercial sewing equipment, surger, and blind stitch hemmer preferred.
- Must be organized, flexible, and able to handle multiple priorities in pressure situations.
- Must be able to read and understand English.
