El Centro Family Health is seeking a full-time IT Technician, dedicated to serving the needs of our community.
An ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Attention to detail.
- Willing to travel to outlying clinics as needed.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of general pharmacy procedures and protocols.
- Knowledge and fluent skill of Microsoft Office Excel and Word applications, internet explorer usage.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision and direction of the IT Manager, the IT Technician I is responsible for operating the IT help desk and maintaining the physical network. Will install, maintain, and troubleshoot software applications, troubleshoot telephone problems, voice mail and e-mail account and assist with Company website. The IT Technician I will also help staff to effectively use computer resources through training and technical direction and create training manuals.
The following are attributes that make this position unique:
Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices; checks computer hardware to ensure functionality, installs and configures appropriate software and functions according to specifications. Provides orientation and guidance to new users (employees) on how to operate new software and computer equipment; performs troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging, etc.). Data processing activities are subject to computer protocols relative to security, backup, and restricted access. Communication must be correct, clear, and understandable. In addition, the employee provides instruction to staff for the purpose of information updates/sharing correction of errors, or implementation of procedures. The employee has access to personal and professional data regarding individual employees and their families, personal data regarding individual patients and the families, and/or sensitive company financial data, an essential job result is the maintenance of a high level of confidentiality of the information processed by the employee.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum two years' experience in information systems.
