Job Description
Engineering Leader
The ideal candidate will direct, manage, and oversee the mechanical and electrical engineering functions to maintain existing products, enhance product performance, quality, reliability, and cost. Responsible for the successful execution of all current product designs and design changes throughout the entire product lifecycle. This position relies on extensive experience in engineering and manufacturing to continuously review product performance and improve market competitiveness.
Manufacturing Operations Support:
- Provide support for operations for current products to assure product quality and minimize costs.
- Establish & maintain documentation on all current products.
- Oversee engineers receiving special requests and product changes.
- Investigate opportunities to improve overall quality and competitiveness.
Leadership:
- Work closely with internal and external customers and suppliers by providing technical support to ensure product quality, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Assist Production and Quality teams with defects and implement countermeasures.
- Support teams with finding root causes, solutions and implementing changes to resolve problems.
- Lead the design, development, support, and improvement of existing products, kits, and components.
- Directly supervise employees.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or a related field
- 5-7+ years engineering-related experience, strong background in manufacturing
- Previous experience in an engineering leadership role preferred
- Significant "hands on the product" type experience with ability to recognize problems, predict potential outcomes and implement countermeasures quickly
- Advanced experience with CAD and product design
- Experience with JD Edwards preferred
- Professional engineering licensure
