Summary: This position inspects products, runs tests, records results, and supports corrective actions to ensure products and processes meet company, industry, and regulatory quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test raw materials, in-process items, and finished products using visual, mechanical, or laboratory methods.
- Execute test protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs); record and report test data and nonconformances.
- Maintain documentation including batch records, inspection logs, and calibration certificates.
- Support investigations into defects and deviations; perform root-cause data collection and help implement corrective actions.
- Calibrate and maintain inspection and test equipment; escalate equipment failures to engineering or maintenance.
- Participate in audits and compliance activities; prepare evidence and follow audit findings to closure.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certificate, associate degree, or coursework in quality, manufacturing, or laboratory technology preferred.
- 0–3 years in manufacturing, laboratory, or quality environments for entry-level; 2+ years commonly expected for full technician roles.
- Familiarity with relevant standards (ISO, GMP, FDA) depending on industry. (Qualifications aggregated from job-market summaries and role guides
Compensation:
The starting hourly rate for this position is $17.00 per hour, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.
