Overall position description

The RMA Coordinator is responsible for handling RMA requests from customers from the initial request for return, tracking the entire evaluation and resolution of the issue and having the goods repaired or replaced to the customer. The RMA Coordinator will help establish and maintain processes and procedures to ensure that RMAs are processed and closed in a timely manner, efficiently prioritizing and managing multiple requests simultaneously.


Essential functions of the job:

  • Receives RMA within system.
  • Logs in the request with the date received and pertinent job information.
  • Conducts initial review of provided customer documents for RMA reason.
  • Performs incoming visual inspection of RMA.
  • Documents any issues identified during visual inspection.
  • Prepares the paperwork required to follow the return through the system and keep track of process.
  • Collects information to determine RMA eligibility.
  • Order parts needed to repair returned products.
  • Prepares information for credit memo when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate records and monthly reports.
  • Maintain communication with Program Management on the status of RMA requests until closed.




Requirements:

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Able to confidently identify visually anomalies during inspection.
  • Able to communicate with customers and co-workers.
  • Able organize information and follow through to completion.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Required education and experience:

  • Prefer a high school diploma or 2-year experience in a manufacturing environment.

Description of the physical demands:

  • Must be able to walk for long distances throughout the production and office areas.

Description of the work environment:

  • Hectic at times with multiple requests for business related information.
