About Us
NapaSan provides wastewater collection and treatment
services to the residents and businesses in the City
of Napa and surrounding vicinity. NapaSan strives to
recover resources from the wastewater stream by producing recycled
water, beneficially reusing biosolids, and creating green energy on-site to
power the wastewater treatment process.
At NapaSan, engineers are involved in projects from initial
conception through evaluation of alternatives, design, procurement,
construction, and operation. NapaSan is a medium-size agency, and
engineers are involved in a wide-range of projects and solutions
requiring creativity and innovation. NapaSan’s engineers truly make a
positive impact on the agency, community, and the wastewater industry.
Compensation and Duration
$25/hour. Full-time, 40 hours per week, during summer break.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed
• Competency working with computers and willingness to learn new applications
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Desire to learn skills that can help lead to a future career in engineering
Experience That Interns Will Gain
• Work on real engineering projects alongside licensed professional engineers
• GIS and AutoCAD software
• Reading plans, maps, and standard specifications
• Working as a team and building workplace relationships
• Wastewater treatment plant and construction site visits
Minimum Qualifications
College student with engineering major and/or engineering-related
coursework.
