Job Description
Job Summary: Provide technical and administrative leadership for a medium to large team of engineering personnel.
Required Education and Experience:
- · Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in engineering and 10 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
 - · Must have a good knowledge of the English language
 - · Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving, time management, managerial, and leadership skills
 - · Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
 - · Must have basic knowledge of CAD software, die operations, robotic operations, welding, and GD&T
 - · May be required to have proficiency in languages other than English
 - · Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
 - · Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949
 
Essential Functions:
- · Manage and lead 7+ employees on a regular basis
 - · Lead planning and tracking of engineering change activities including risk assessment, budgetary performance, and plant program launch activities
 - · Identify opportunities for improvements in engineering practices to obtain increased operational efficiencies
 - · Review and approve engineering records
 - · Interview and select new personnel
 - · Adjust and approve changes to plant layout
 - · Conduct performance reviews, including individual employee development goals and disciplinary actions
 - · Participate in development QMS policy and IATF standards and ensure adherence
 - · Provide technical and administrative coaching and mentoring for engineering personnel
 - · May be required to work extra hours and travel to meet customer needs
 - · Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by General Manager
