Job Description
The Pharmaceutical Project Executive will lead and manage the performance of complex pharmaceutical projects. This role requires strategic oversight, program management, and a focus on customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Provide primary leadership for the overall program and associated Pharmaceutical Project Delivery Teams.

Program Management: Develop and manage the Program Management Plan, monitoring progress against the plan and identifying actions required to address deviations.

Risk Management: Proactively manage risks associated with pharmaceutical projects and work with project teams to establish recovery plans.

Mentorship: Mentor project teams and assess training needs to develop future leaders within the pharmaceutical sector.

Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project performance through operational and financial systems.

Subcontracting: Evaluate and review subcontracting strategies while maintaining strong relationships with key subcontractors in the pharmaceutical industry.

Performance Evaluation: Oversee monthly performance evaluations of strategic programs and provide comprehensive reports to management.

Scope Management: Manage the scope of projects, including planning, definition, verification, and change control processes.

Resource Coordination: Coordinate with Corporate and Regional Installation Managers to allocate resources effectively to meet program objectives.

Asset Management: Oversee program asset management, including collections, cost control, progress billings, and payables.

Document Control: Ensure that project document controls comply with regulatory requirements and contract specifications.

Client Relations: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and deepen relationships with clients in the pharmaceutical sector.

Industry Representation: Represent the company and its interests as the face of the Pharmaceutical Project Team in your assigned market.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.

Experience: 15-20 years of direct Project Management/Construction Management experience, specifically in the pharmaceutical industry or related sectors.

Industry Knowledge: Experience in managing projects related to pharmaceutical manufacturing, laboratories, cleanrooms, and facility upgrades.

Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage large capital projects ($5M+) within the pharmaceutical landscape, adhering to strict timelines and budget constraints.

Regulatory Understanding: High-level understanding of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and validation processes in pharmaceutical projects.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in making presentations to diverse audiences.

Team Leadership: Strong ability to lead and direct diverse teams, fostering collaboration among Owners, Architects, Engineers, and other stakeholders.

Software Proficiency: Familiarity with standard project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and strong personal computer skills in MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences).

Certifications: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

Sector-Specific Experience: Successful experience executing pharmaceutical projects, especially involving regulatory compliance, facility design, and construction.
