Legal Assistant

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with an established firm with offices in five major commercial centers across the state of California. For over 70 years, they have kept pace with California’s growth, and with more than 100 attorneys, they have the resources and experience to offer the highest quality representation in a wide variety of legal matters. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Legal Assistant to join our growing firm.

This position supports a heavy litigation desk and is ideal for a candidate with extensive experience in federal, state, and appellate court procedures, including e-filing, trial preparation, and in-trial support. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, has superior organizational and communication skills, and demonstrates strong initiative and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be a team-oriented professional who can manage complex litigation matters and support attorneys throughout the entire life cycle of a case, from intake through post-trial.



REQUIREMENTS:

  • Provide direct administrative and executive support to the Managing Partner
  • Manage calendars, schedule and coordinate meetings, and arrange domestic travel
  • Maintain high levels of client contact and handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Support client and board meeting logistics, including document preparation and follow-up
  • Accurately proofread, draft, edit, redline, and format legal documents with exceptional accuracy
  • Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems such as iManage or similar platforms



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience supporting high-level legal professionals, preferably in Healthcare law
  • Exposure to Intellectual Property, Litigation, and Insurance Coverage is a strong plus
  • Strong proofreading, writing, and calendaring skills required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (2010 or higher), Outlook, Adobe Pro, and Comparite
  • Familiarity with CompuLaw, Best Authority, CCC Macros, and e-filing in federal and state courts
  • In-depth understanding of the litigation life cycle and court filing procedures

  • $80,000 - $95,000 base salary
