Salary: $230,000 - $300,000 Annually

A growing legal team is seeking an experienced Employment Law Partner with deep expertise in California labor law and a primary focus on PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) litigation. This is a remote role with the option to work from several California cities, offering great flexibility and access to the state's diverse living environments- from coastal cities with vibrant nightlife and cultural hubs to more affordable inland locations with outdoor activities and family-friendly communities.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage high-stakes PAGA litigation cases, including strategy, filings, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Advise clients on compliance with California labor regulations including audits and risk mitigation strategies.
- Represent clients in matters related to wage/hour disputes, employee classification, and meal/rest break issues.
- Build client relationships and develop new business through presentations, workshops, and networking.
- Mentor junior legal staff and ensure quality and consistency in legal work.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of employment law experience focused on PAGA (7+ years may be considered).
- Defense-side litigation experience is required. Candidates with only plaintiff-side backgrounds will not be considered.
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Exceptional writing, communication, and legal analysis skills.
- Experience with public entity defense is a plus.
