Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary school students in Concord, NC. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the school year by providing tailored instruction and support to help students with special needs succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals.
- Deliver differentiated instruction and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and growth.
- Maintain accurate documentation and pliance with special education policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching license with endorsement in Special Education.
- Experience working with elementary school-age children.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP processes, and classroom management techniques.
- Excellent munication and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Duration: Contract for the duration of the school year (NSY)
