Job Description

AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT for Full and Part -Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for multiple Downtown Manhattan residences.

PAY RATE: $20 per hour. In addition, this position comes with a comprehensive Benefit package which includes FREE MEDICAL INSURANCE! See below for additional Benefit information.

DATE & TIME: THURSDAY JANUARY 29th, 2026 from 10AM-1PM

LOCATION: Recruiter will provide Hiring Event specific address for qualified candidates.

POSITION TO BE FILLED:

40hr Evening shift: 2pm-10pm....Driver's license NOT required

40hr Weekday Overnight shift: 10pm -8am...Tuesday - Friday nights

30hr Weekend Overnight shift: 10pm-8am...Friday- Sunday nights

Weekend availability Required for most positions!

  • The oversight of all safety and health considerations
  • Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
  • Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
  • Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.

Qualifications

  • Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
  • Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
  • Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
  • Ability to use a computer for data entry.
  • High school education/GED, highly preferred.
