LHH is proud to partner with a distinguished intellectual property law firm in its search for a dynamic Patent Prosecution Paralegal. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.
About the Role
This position supports a team of patent attorneys with a focus on U.S. and international patent prosecution. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and comfortable managing complex workflows with precision and discretion.
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to patent attorneys

Manage attorney dockets and ensure timely filings and responses

Prepare and file patent documents with the USPTO and WIPO, including applications, office action responses, IDSs, petitions, and maintenance fees

Draft and coordinate execution of formal documents such as declarations, assignments, and powers of attorney

Communicate with clients, inventors, foreign agents, and internal teams to coordinate filings and deadlines

Maintain accurate records in NetDocuments and ProLaw

Assist with special projects including portfolio transfers and budget tracking
What You Bring
-
2–4 years of experience in patent prosecution support

Associate’s degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate

Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Familiarity with USPTO Patent Center, ePCT, FoundationIP, and ProLaw (preferred)

Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $34–$38, commensurate with experience

Benefits: Fully covered Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), vacation and sick leave
Pay Details: $34.00 to $38.00 per hour
