Job DescriptionA day in this role

At our Assembly & Test Department on Daniel Road, you’ll take mechanical builds from parts to finished, tested product. You’ll complete final assembly, finishing, and verification activities so each unit matches drawings and specifications and meets our quality bar.

What you will do

  • Install and remove Heli-Coils as needed to support reliable fastener engagement.
  • Fit, align, and assemble mechanical components to build chambers and other final assemblies for test.
  • Diagnose assembly issues, propose fixes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Execute customer-specified cleaning and finishing steps to prepare units for shipment or test.
  • Perform in-process inspections, checking conformance to specs and reporting any damage or nonconformance.
  • Confirm all assembly, finishing, and testing requirements are complete before sign-off.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to deliver products that meet customer expectations.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Hands-on mechanical background (cars, trucks, small engines, or bodywork).
  • 3–5 years in mechanical assembly is preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings/specifications and translate them into product and quality requirements.
  • Fluent in English (read, write, and speak).

Skills and abilities

  • Communication: Comprehend and speak English; read and interpret business and technical materials; write reports and procedures; present information and handle questions from leaders, clients, and the public.
  • Math: Work with probability and basic statistics, plane/solid geometry, and trigonometry; apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical contexts.
  • Reasoning: Define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions; interpret complex written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions; manage both abstract and concrete variables.

Must-haves

  • Solid mechanical aptitude.
  • Confidence using common hand tools.
  • Fundamental blueprint/print-reading capability.
  • Motivated, dependable, and accountable.
