The Robotics Paint Engineer will lead the design, development, and implementation of robotic systems for paint applications, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand paint process requirements and translate them into robotic programming strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Program and optimize robotic systems, including Fanuc robots, for various paint applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing production lines
- Conduct testing and validation of robotic systems to ensure performance meets quality and safety standards
- Troubleshoot and debug robotic systems, identifying and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in robotic paint applications, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation
- Provide technical support and training to production staff on the operation and maintenance of robotic systems
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate robotic equipment and components, ensuring compatibility and reliability
- Participate in new product development projects, providing expertise on robotic paint applications and contributing to design reviews and feasibility studies
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards governing robotic systems and paint processes
- Oversee the setup, calibration, and maintenance of painting equipment and systems
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of paint defects, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to uphold product integrity
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing paint consumption, minimizing waste, and enhancing environmental sustainability
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 5 years of experience in product manufacturing
OR
- Master’s degree
- At least 3 years of experience in product manufacturing
OR
- At least 7 years of experience in product manufacturing
