Step into a hands-on leadership role guiding a shop of welders and fabricators to hit schedule, quality, and safety targets—every single day. As the Weld‑Fab Production Foreperson, you’ll coordinate people, processes, and equipment to keep parts flowing and standards high.

A Day in the Shop

You start by checking the ERP dashboard and walk the floor to align work orders, equipment readiness, and crew assignments. Throughout the day, you coach team members, verify weld and fabrication quality, remove bottlenecks, and partner with Maintenance to keep welders, presses, and cutters calibrated and running. You finish by closing out production orders and planning tomorrow’s builds.

What You’ll Lead

  • Daily Production: Direct all fabrication activities to meet on-time delivery and quality specifications.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements; model safe behaviors.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections, drive corrective actions, and reduce defects and rework.
  • People Leadership: Train, coach, evaluate performance, manage staffing, and sustain a collaborative culture.
  • Process Improvement: Optimize flow, tooling utilization, and standard work to improve throughput.
  • Equipment Readiness: Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration for welders, presses, and cutters.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing/fabrication with progressive responsibility.
  • Technical: Proficiency in fabrication methods, blueprint reading, and shop processes.
  • Safety: Deep understanding of industrial safety practices and a safety-first mindset.
  • Leadership: Clear communicator, decisive problem solver, and effective coach.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or Associate’s degree a plus.
