About the Role:

The primary role of the Field Technician is to ensure smooth on-site operations and support technical projects from start to finish. This position involves conducting IT and network surveys, installing and configuring hardware, troubleshooting issues, documenting infrastructure, and communicating effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.



Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site IT and network surveys during new client onboarding.
  • Serve as the on-site technical resource supporting the Projects team for installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Install, configure, and test network and IT hardware (routers, switches, access points, workstations, etc.).
  • Document existing and newly installed infrastructure through detailed notes and photographs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at client sites.



Requirements and Job Qualifications:

  • Understanding of common IT and network components (routers, switches, access points, cabling, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Experience with UniFi, Meraki, or SonicWall systems.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the IT field.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs of equipment.
  • Reliable personal transportation.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight or multi-day trips by car or air.
  • CompTIA A+ or Network + certification.
