GIS Analyst IV - (Experienced GIS Support / Technical Lead)
The Role
Position Description (PD)
The GIS Analyst IV serves as the senior technical lead and project-level coordinator for GIS support activities. This role acts as the primary interface between contractor staff, UWS prime management, and the Government COR, ensuring task execution aligns with mission priorities. Responsibilities include developing advanced geospatial dashboards and applications; performing complex spatial analysis and cartographic production; supporting parcel fabric workflows; managing internal and external GIS portals; ensuring metadata and data standards compliance; and documenting procedures for knowledge transfer. The GIS Analyst IV also supports requirements gathering, stakeholder coordination, and quality assurance across all GIS deliverables.
Personnel Qualifications (PQ)
- Bachelors degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 68 years of progressively responsible GIS experience
- Advanced experience with ESRI GIS tools, dashboards, and web applications
- Demonstrated experience supporting federal GIS programs or large stakeholder environments
- Experience managing or leading GIS tasks/projects and coordinating with CORs
- Knowledge of FGDC-compliant metadata development and data standards
- Experience supporting portals, open data platforms, and publication workflows
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment
