About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Jira Administrator with hands-on experience in Atlassian Cloud migration to join our growing team. This role is critical in managing, optimizing, and migrating our Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.) from on-premises or server environments to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for improving team productivity through smart tooling and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence environments.
- Lead and execute the migration of Jira and Confluence from Server/Data Center to Atlassian Cloud.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, configure workflows, custom fields, permissions, and automation rules.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement best practices for user management, security, and data integrity.
- Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party apps and plugins as needed.
- Stay current with Atlassian product updates and industry trends.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator or similar role.
- 3+ years as Scrum Master experience in agile or Scaled Agile environment
- 3+ years for experience as Project Management or Program Management
- Proven experience with Atlassian Cloud migration projects.
- Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, and automation.
- Experience with Confluence administration and integration with Jira.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Access, SSO, and user provisioning.
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Groovy, Python, or Bash) is a plus.
- Experience with REST APIs and integration with other tools (e.g., Slack, GitHub, Jenkins).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator or similar certification.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, SAFe and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with ITSM and ITIL frameworks.
- Experience with other Atlassian tools like Bitbucket, Bamboo, or Trello.
