Job Description: As a Senior Integrations Engineer at our healthcare technology startup, you will play a crucial role in connecting various electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ancillary systems, and external quality data benchmark organizations. Leveraging your expertise in integrating systems from Epic, Allscripts, Cerner, and other industry leaders, you will ensure smooth data flow and interoperability across our platform. You will lead the implementation and have the chance to interact directly with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions to connect EMR systems with ancillary systems and external quality data benchmark organizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Configure and customize integration engines including Cloverleaf and/or Mirth Connect to facilitate seamless data exchange.
- Implement industry standard integration transactions including HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA transactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices in healthcare integration technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in healthcare integration, with a focus on integrating EMR systems from Epic, Allscripts, Cerner, and other major vendors.
- Proven experience with integration engines including Cloverleaf and/or MirthConnect and knowledge of other modern integration engines.
- Deep understanding of industry standard integration protocols and transactions including HL7, FHIR, payment, and HIPAA transactions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and drive innovation in healthcare integration solutions.
- Deep understanding of Security best practices for interoperability between cloud(s) and on-prem systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience working in a healthcare startup or fast-paced environment.
- Certification in relevant healthcare integration technologies (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulatory requirements.
