Over the last few years XYZ has grown to over 120 staff across the UK, Europe and the US and is working with prestigious, market-leading Data Centre and Mission Critical organisations to successfully deliver major projects globally.
Field Application Engineer Opportunity
Our aim is to revolutionise the construction industry, for the better, forever... And although we've achieved some incredible successes so far, we're only just getting started!
As we expand our project workload into the USA, we are now looking for someone from a Surveying (Surveyor / Survey Engineer / Staking Out / Setting Out) background to join us as an FAE in Omaha, Nebraska.
As an Engineer/Surveyor at XYZ, you'll be utilising Augmented Reality alongside your existing knowledge of construction/surveying/engineering to eliminate installation errors, which would otherwise lead to costly and time-consuming rework. You'll be our clients first point of contact onsite and will help to coordinate the project by providing information of potential clashes/problems with the design model and what has been, or is to be, installed.

- Using a Total Station; establish and maintain our primary control network on site for the longevity of the project.
- Conduct setting out and site inspections using the Atom (Augmented Reality headset) to ensure works are installed/being installed correctly, as per the BIM Model.
- Produce reports and subsequent deliverables based on the inspections from that day.
- Attend meetings to coordinate with the contractor to plan daily activities.
- Process and review all acquired data to ensure it is accurate and reliable.
- Work with the Contractor to devise a weekly lookahead of inspections in line with the construction programme in order to de-risk incorrect installation from taking place in the field.
- Obtain and prepare the latest approved Revit models to export into HoloSite
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- Surveying / construction experience is essential as you will be working independently alongside the installation team (our client)
- Ability to independently operate a total station to establish control network is essential
