Summary:
The IT Field Manager directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates all information technology activities for remote projects and solar sites ensuring that systems, services, and infrastructure work reliably and securely. This position supports the hardware, software, network devices and connections, and cybersecurity at remote sites. The position coordinates remote site activities with Strata Solar Services Monitoring and Operations team. The IT Field Manager interfaces with third party support and vendors and attends various meetings related to computer technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with Strata Solar leadership to plan and strategize for business growth and to meeting business objectives.
• Organizes the support, troubleshooting, and repair of computer hardware and software for solar farms and project sites.
• Assists with the support of firewalls, routers, switches, and servers at remote locations.
• Travel to solar farms to help third-party, customer, or Strata Solar Services staff to troubleshoot, implement or assist with solar farm hardware and software.
• Performs network and systems audit and inventory of all solar farm equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting SCADA hardware and software on solar farms.
• Liaise with operations and monitoring teams related to assigned projects and tasks.
• Works with manufacturers or vendors to deploy systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Responsible for identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities on solar farms, mitigating them if necessary.
• Supports all field Verizon wireless modems with configuration and troubleshooting.
• Maintain secure patch levels on remote systems.
• Creates appropriate change request after installation and configuration of site equipment.
• Maintain federal, state, and company regulatory cybersecurity and safety compliance at all times
• Works with Strata Solar Services Remote Operation Center to ensure remote operation of solar sites. Escalates as needed.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
• Proactively reading service manuals to better understand equipment or software to assist with troubleshooting.
• Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Participate in information technology projects as required.
• Assists in researching, proposing and implementing new technologies and providing training, as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Manage IT Field Techninians team members
• Coaches, counsels, and trains IT Field Technicians
• Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
• Implements disciplinary actions as needed
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Associates degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field and 2+ years' experience in IT Management or support; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job.
• Proven experience in a computer support role
• Hands on experience with servers, networking, routing and switching.
• Experience with firewalls, switches, IoT equipment, network troubleshooting, Windows troubleshooting, ticketing systems, and problem resolution.
• Experience with SCADA systems and equipment a plus.
• Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.
• CompTIA or Cisco Certifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
• Work is performed in an office environment and in the field
• Travel of up to 50% can be expected.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift 20 pounds
