Position Overview
The Sr. Field Engineer, Electrical role is responsible for overseeing electrical installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing project timelines and budgets in construction projects.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Supervise and manage the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems at construction sites, ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure that electrical systems are integrated into the overall project design.
- Technical Evaluation: Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and adherence to safety protocols.
- Documentation: Review technical documentation, including drawings and specifications, to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Problem-Solving: Analyze complex electrical issues and propose effective solutions to overcome technical challenges during the project lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications:
- License electrician or a related field is preferred.
- • Minimum of 10 years of experience of construction experience in electrical, particularly in site management, is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects, including budgeting and scheduling. Review construction documents such as RFIs, Shop Drawings, and cost estimates.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance.
- Highly proficient technical/computer skills including Microsoft O365 (Outlook, Work, Excel), internet and web applications.

Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to perform the necessary job-related functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Travel up to 100% for site investigations and assessments, or client meetings
- Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods
- Work extended hours, evenings and weekends when necessary to meet business deadlines
- Regular use of office equipment such as a computer/laptop and computer screens
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
- Ability to see differences between colors, shades and brightness
- Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
- May occasionally be exposed to the following work conditions: work near/with moving mechanical parts; work near/with electrical currents; work in high places or underground; be exposed to fumes/airborne particles or caustic chemicals; withstand outdoor weather conditions; withstand moderate to very loud noises.
