Senior Project Architect (Hybrid)
Overview
I'm partnering with a global design firm ranked among the top in the industry. The firm has a diverse portfolio and is seeking a Senior Project Architect to join its growing Mission Critical team. This individual will oversee multiple architectural projects from early design through construction completion and will carry full responsibility for client satisfaction, project performance, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate is a licensed architect or senior leader with proven experience managing complex projects, mentoring staff, and strengthening client partnerships while upholding design and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead project teams and other architects in planning, detailing, and delivering technical and design solutions
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Principals to develop work plans, define project scopes, and manage production schedules
• Direct the creation and modification of detailed construction documents that accurately reflect design intent
• Lead code and zoning analysis to confirm compliance across all project phases
• Supervise document preparation and ensure conformance with QA/QC standards and best practices
• Manage technical coordination, design resolution, and consultant collaboration for assigned projects
• Review and write reports, technical narratives, or specifications as needed
• Prepare and deliver client presentations and participate in project reviews
• Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and public agencies
• Negotiate and adjust scopes of services and deliverables when necessary
• Lead consultant coordination meetings and oversee documentation of meeting outcomes
• Guide material and product research, assisting teams in evaluating systems and selections
• Identify potential risks and escalate issues when needed
• Participate in on-site visits, field observations, and construction meetings
• Mentor junior staff and promote a collaborative, high-performing team environment
Qualifications
• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program
• 15+ years of experience, including at least 3 years leading large-scale projects
• Registered Architect
• LEED accreditation or other sustainability credential preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
• Working knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Twinmotion, and Enscape
• Intermediate expe4rience in Illustrator and InDesign; basic Photoshop skills required
• Strong understanding of materials, building systems, construction techniques, and QA/QC processes
• Advanced knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and integrated design principles
• Experience across all project phases, from concept through post-occupancy
• Strong client relationship and presentation skills
• Proven ability to lead teams with diplomacy, collaboration, and accountability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Consistent record of meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
• Travel may be required
