Key Responsibilities of an IDD Residential Program Manager
IDD Residential Program Managers play a vital leadership role in delivering high-quality support services. Responsibilities include:
- Oversight of all aspects of residential program services, ensuring compliance with agency standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage a caseload of 15–20 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), ensuring person-centered care and service coordination.
- Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and retain quality residential staff/providers, fostering a supportive and accountable team environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations, address employee concerns, and implement progressive disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Lead the development, coordination, and monitoring of programs in accordance with each individual’s Service Plan.
- Review and approve attendance, billing data, and payroll, collaborating closely with the Billing Coordinator to ensure accurate tracking and utilization of billable units.
- Conduct environmental monitoring of individual residences to ensure compliance with agency and IDD standards and regulations.
- Complete and submit all required monthly reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide support and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and integrity of the residential program.
Minimum Qualifications and Conditions of Employment for Residential Program Managers:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; a combination of undergraduate or graduate classes and experience may be considered.
- Two years of previous management/supervision experience required.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance.
- Must meet Driving Requirements; no major driving violations in the last 5 years and no more than 3 minor driving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a full background check.
Pay and Benefits for Full-Time Employees
- $25.64 - $28.30 per hour (based on education and experience)
- 4-day work week: 36 hours per week, closed on Fridays. Extra hours may be required to ensure caseload responsibilities are completed each week.
