Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled and driven Attorney to join our legal team in Houston, Texas. This position is ideal for a mid-level legal expert with 4–7 years of experience specializing in transactional law, particularly in real estate and municipal matters. The role offers the opportunity to provide impactful legal counsel to local government entities and community-focused organizations.

Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of transactional documents related to real estate and municipal matters.
• Provide legal counsel and representation to municipal utility districts (MUDs), municipalities, and other local government entities on compliance and governance issues.
• Attend client meetings, board sessions, and public hearings to offer legal expertise and guidance.
• Conduct in-depth legal research to address complex issues in real estate and local government law.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop strategic legal solutions.
• Maintain a monthly billable hour target of 150 hours in a fully in-office setting.
• Ensure all legal filings and government compliance requirements are met.
• Deliver high-quality legal advice and services in a timely and precise manner.• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 4–7 years of experience in real estate or municipal law.
• Proven experience working with municipal utility districts (MUDs), city councils, or other public entities is highly preferred.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Expertise in legal research and government regulations.
• Commitment to meeting monthly billable hour targets in an in-office environment.
