Role Overview
Our Field Service Technicians are electro-mechanical experts who provide essential technical support to customers through installations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Representing MPE on the front lines, they are customer-focused professionals who prioritize safety and service excellence.
Travel Requirements:
- Approximately 65% travel across the U.S.
- Time at home when not on assignment
- Candidates should reside near a major airport (Chicagoland area preferred)
Primary Responsibilities
- Travel to customer locations to perform equipment installations, commissioning, and preventive maintenance
- Provide hands-on training to customers on the operation and maintenance of MPE equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system issues, offering prompt resolutions
- Communicate effectively with customers, promoting professional and collaborative information exchange
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including service trip reports and scheduling details

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training is a plus)
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with processing equipment, preferably in food processing industry
- Flexibility to work variable schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment/process issues on-site
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically, with limited travel to Canada and Mexico
