This organization is expanding its technical services team and seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the region. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge automation equipment, provide advanced technical support, and help ensure top performance and reliability for high-tech manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and commission advanced SMT automation equipment at customer sites across the U.S.
- Perform system retrofits, upgrades, and custom modifications to meet unique production requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, and process-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Provide both on-site and remote technical support, collaborating with internal engineering teams to address complex challenges.
- Conduct structured operator and maintenance training for customer personnel, ensuring safe and efficient equipment use.
- Advise customers on process optimization, preventive maintenance, and system efficiency best practices.
- Maintain accurate and detailed service documentation, reports, and technical feedback for customers and internal teams.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and engineering, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Represent the company with professionalism, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field preferred.
- Experience with SMT, automation, or electromechanical systems strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and system diagrams.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software, system configuration, and basic networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Capable of working independently and managing travel requirements of approximately 75%.
