We’re seeking a Technical Specialist with a valid CA SWRCB Distribution and Treatment Level 2 Certification to support water systems and agencies in achieving compliance with evolving state regulations. This is a part-time, temporary position based in Victorville, CA, with a day shift schedule and flexible availability Monday through Sunday, depending on project needs.

As a Technical Specialist, you will provide hands-on support to water systems and local agencies by offering technical guidance on compliance issues, regulatory requirements, and project development. You’ll also assist in leak detection efforts and act as a liaison between stakeholders, regulators, and funding agencies.

Note: Only candidates who meet the required CA SWRCB Distribution and Treatment Level 2 Certification will be considered for this role. Please ensure your resume clearly reflects this certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance on water system compliance, rate structures, testing methods, and certification requirements.
• Meet with water systems, local agencies, and state entities to support project development and compliance.
• Assist in managing drinking water projects, including reviewing plans, attending meetings, and coordinating with regulatory bodies.
• Support Leak Detection Specialists with on-site fieldwork and traffic control as needed.
• Travel throughout California to provide hands-on technical support and project coordination.

Requirements

• CA SWRCB Distribution and Treatment Level 2 Certification (Required)
• Valid California Driver’s License and ability to travel statewide
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to work with diverse teams
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
